New Collaboration with PUMA and SpongeBob SquarePants is a Jellyfishing Adventure
PUMA is teaming up with the one and only SpongeBob SquarePants for a new collection of playful classics, created in collaboration with the beloved Nickelodeon series and Paramount Consumer Products. The collaboration channels floral prints and sunny, summery colors throughout, while select pieces from the PUMA x SpongeBob SquarePants collection feature SpongeBob and Patrick on a jellyfishing adventure.
Featuring designs for both adults and kids, the collection includes a special suite of PUMA sneakers paying homage to SpongeBob and Patrick. Footwear highlights include the Suede, Slipstream, RS-Slide, Future Rider, and others that are elevated with SpongeBob detailing, while Patrick Star gets his own version of the Rider FV.
The footwear component is complemented by apparel silhouettes like the T7 tracksuit, plus essentials like T-shirts and hoodies. Lastly, accessories are included in the form of a bucket hat and utility pouch, rounding out a collection that is made for Bikini Bottom and beyond.
PUMA x SpongeBob SquarePants collection is available starting March 17, 2023 from PUMA.com, PUMA stores, and select accounts worldwide with retail prices ranging from $20 to $100.

Puma, the German sportswear giant, is reconnecting with Nickelodeon's iconic animated comedy series, SpongeBob SquarePants, to launch a brand-new collection offering apparel, accessories and footwear lines. The entire collection is inspired by three of the main characters of the show, SpongeBob SquarePants, his best friend Patrick Star, and SpongeBob's neighbor and co-worker, Squidward Tentacles.

The collection offers pieces like sneakers, tees, hats, backpacks, utility bags, hoodies, shorts and pants. The collaborative collection will offer all the pieces in adults and kids sizes. The entire collection will be launched on the e-commerce site of Puma and select retailers like Foot Locker on March 17, 2023.
"Introducing PUMA x SPONGEBOB. This collection of playful classics was created in collaboration with the beloved Nickelodeon TV series. Garments feature floral allover prints, a summery color palette, and graphics featuring SpongeBob and Patrick on a jellyfishing adventure."
The collection will feature 51 items, a few of which includes:
- Men's Graphic Tee, which will be retailed for $35 in 3 colors.
- Suede sneakers, which will be retailed for $85.
- Big Kids' Slipstream sneakers, which will be retailed for $80.
- Rider FV Sneakers, which will be retailed for $100.
- Bucket Hats, which will be retailed in a price range of $23 to $30.
- Hoodies, which will be retailed for $75 in 3 colors.
- T7 Men's Track Jacket, which will be retailed for $90 in 2 colors.
- Shorts, which will be retailed for $55 in 2 colors.
- Track Pants, which will be retailed for $70 in 2 colors.
- Little Kids' Tee, which will be retailed for $25 in 5 colors.
More items, including Little kids' skirts and bags, are included in the collection. The entire collection is features with the graphics of SpongeBob and Patrick alongside the co-branding of both the involved labels.
Most of the sneakers take on the Lucent Yellow/Citronelle color scheme and features circular embroidery to mimic the holes found upon SpongeBob's character.
Most of the collection is covered in the yello hues as a nod to SpongeBob SquarePants, whereas a few pieces take on the black, grey and pink shades. The entire collaborative collection is slated to be released on the e-commerce site of Puma and select retailers on March 17, 2023, in the price range of $23-100. A few sites like Finish Line and JD Sports have already launched select products on their site.

One of the most iconic animated series of all time, SpongeBob SquarePants and characters from the beloved show have made appearances on various silhouettes across the footwear industry with one of its most famous collaboration being with Nike on the Kyrie 5. Following the show's work with independent footwear brand Sonra, SpongeBob and his friends Patrick and Squidward are now being brought to life on a series of Puma silhouettes.
Taking the color palette of SpongeBob and applying it to the Puma Slipstream, the silhouette takes on a leather, terrycloth, suede, and transparent TPU construction throughout its design. Along the toebox, circular embroidery in a tonal yellow mimics the holes found on SpongeBob while the tongue features a terrycloth, sponge-like construction that is complemented by tonal yellow laces. On the Puma-branded tongue tag, we see a depiction of SpongeBob SquarePants with more hints of the show and its main character found on the co-branded insole and via a debossed graphic on the heel tab. Rounding out the upper is the Puma Formstrip that comes with an actual sponge behind a transparent TPU overlay while the entire sneaker is rounded out by a white midsole paired with a brown rubber outsole.
The other three pieces of footwear in the collection include a Spongebob-themed Puma Suede with sponge-like graphics along branding details as well as hits of terrycloth all in a vibrant yellow hue, a Patrick-themed Puma Rider FV, and a Squidward-based Puma RS Slide. For the Rider FV, we see Patrick himself included on a hangtag as well as back on the heel tab while the majority of the sneaker takes on his pink and green appearance. Squidward's RS Slide comes in a gradient blue to purple finish along the sole with yellow details accenting the all-purple forefoot strap.
The Spongebob x Puma Collection 2 is set to release on March 17th, 2023 through Foot Locker online and in-store while a Puma Mobile App release is set for March 19th. Coming in an assortment of sizes between the four silhouettes, the retail price will range between $60 and $100.
