The Imagen Foundation has announced the fantastic news that Nickelodeon has received three nominations in the 36th Annual Imagen Awards!
The Imagen Awards recognizes an array of Latino talent with ground-breaking performances, storytelling, and powerful diverse programs. The Imagen Foundation is the only awards ceremony that honors Latino talent and contributions within the television, film, and streaming platforms.
The Casagrandes, a companion spin-off series from The Loud House has been nominated in the "Best Youth Programming" category of this year's Imagen Awards, with Nickelodeon star Izabella Alvarez receiving a nomination in the "Best Voice-Over Actor – Television" category for voicing Ronnie Anne in the series.
Joining Izabella in the "Best Voice-Over Actor – Television" is Kevin Chacon, who has been nominated for voicing Santiago “Santi” Montes in Nickelodeon's CG-animated preschool series, Santiago of the Seas.
Update (10/11) - The Casagrandes won the "Best Youth Programming" award at the 36th Annual Imagen Awards! Congrats to Nickelodeon and to everyone who works on the show!
The Imagen Awards nominees are determined by an independent panel of entertainment industry executives and Latino community leaders.
The 2021 Imagen Awards will be presented exclusively on PBSSoCal.org and KCET.org Sunday, October 10, at 5 PM Pacific/8 PM Eastern.
Congratulations and good luck to the production team behind The Casagrandes and Santiago of the Seas, Izabella Alvarez, Kevin Chacon and to Nickelodeon!
