The Power Rangers have crossed over quite a bit with teams from other seasons, but only once before have they crossed over with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. That happened during Power Rangers In Space, but the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers are set to team-up for the first time - officially that is - with the heroes in a half-shell in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Kevin Eastman Variants Revealed (Exclusive)
The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will be teaming up with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles later this year thanks to BOOM! Studios, though the event just wouldn't be the same without that trademark Kevin Eastman flair. Luckily BOOM's got you covered, as Eastman has created a gorgeous new cover for the anticipated Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, and we've got your exclusive first look at both versions of it. The cover features the Turtles alongside the Red, Yellow, Pink, Black, Blue, and Green Rangers, and comes in both fully colored and black and white versions, which you can take a look at below.

The fully colored cover will be available to retailers ordering by the FOC date, while the black and white version will be a 1-in-50 variant. Both covers are pretty slick, though there is something about that black and white version that we absolutely love. Those aren't the only covers to choose from either, as the issue will feature a main cover by Dan Mora and a Turtle Ranger Helmet variant cover by Goni Montes.
The project will be brought to life by writer Ryan Parrott and artist Simone di Meo, and for Parrott, this is a dream come true.

These two iconic franchises were my TV parents, each teaching me valuable life lessons thirty minutes at a time. The Power Rangers and the Ninja Turtles are too insanely awesome not to bring together. I mean, they're both color-coded teenage martial artists who fight monsters! It just makes too much sense!" said writer Ryan Parrott. Power Rangers & Ninja Turtles Comic Recreates Iconic THANOS Cover
It still seems like a dream come true, but the comic book crossover Mighty Morphin Power Rangers/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has just gotten even more nerd cred, debuting the variant cover for the series' debut issue -- recreating the iconic cover to Marvel's Infinity Gauntlet #1, Thanos and all.
Yes, as if it wasn't already enough of a sales pitch to see Leonardo and Jason the Red Ranger unite against Tommy and Shredder, IDW and BOOM! had to go and pay tribute to Thanos himself. The five-issue limited series event is made possible by an alliance between IDW, BOOM! and Nickelodeon, bringing the forces of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles together for the first time. Given the historic powers being united, it only seems right to evoke the image of Thanos, on his own quest to unite the greatest powers in the universe. We'll leave it to the fans to decide if Shredder is worthy of the same spotlight, but the overall comic cover is a thing to behold.
The five-issue series is being written by Ryan Parrott (Power Rangers: Necessary Evil) with art from Simone di Meo (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), and set to begin on December 4th, 2019. The variant cover in question comes from Matt Frank, paying homage to George Perez's immortal Thanos, Gauntlet, and Grin. It will be offered as an exclusive by Cover Alpha Comics, with interested readers able to pre-order their variant cover now, everybody gets to enjoy the artwork below:
As if the premise alone isn't enough to get fans on board, they can feast their eyes on the first plot synopsis (betrayal!) and credits below. In addition to the official cover art by Dan Mora, there are also a range of variants by Goni Montes to collect, featuring each of the Ninja Turtles holding the helmet of the Red Ranger.
