Nick@Nite, Nickelodeon USA's nighttime programming block featuring viewer-favorite comedies, will start to air the hit NBC comedy series The Office, the American version of the acclaimed BBC sitcom created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, on New Years Day, Tuesday, January 1st, 2019! Nick at Nite will air two episodes nightly between 10:00-11:00pm ET/PT. The multi-award-winning comedy series, from Deedle-Dee Productions, Reveille and Universal Television, presents a hilarious fly-on-the-wall "docu-reality" parody that looks at the humorous, and sometimes poignant, foolishness that plagues the 9-to-5 world, where the workday consists of ego clashes, inappropriate behavior, and tedium.
At the Scranton, Pennsylvania branch of the Dunder Mifflin paper supply company, a documentary crew are making a programme looking behind the scenes at modern working practice. Clueless manager Michael Scott (Steve Carell) considers himself a business genius and an all-round entertainer - unaware that, to his workers, he's an insufferable idiot.
The Office, subtitled An American Workplace (and also known as The US Office) in the U.K., was developed by Greg Daniels, and ran for 201 episodes over nine seasons between March 24, 2005 – May 16, 2013 on NBC. The single-camera series also airs on Comedy Central USA, who acquired the rights to the entire series in December 2017, for its second syndication cycle, and Comedy Central UK (formally Paramount Comedy).
The Office stars Steve Carell as Michael Scott, Rainn Wilson as Dwight Schrute, John Krasinski as Jim Halpert, Jenna Fischer as Pam Beesly, B.J. Novak as Ryan Howard, Ed Helms as Andy Bernard, James Spader as Robert California, Melora Hardin as Jan Levinson / Jan Levinson-Gould, David Denman as Roy Anderson, Leslie David Baker, Rashida Jones (Parks & Recreation) as Karen Filippelli, Brian Baumgartner as Kevin Malone, Kate Flannery as Meredith Palmer, Angela Kinsey as Angela Martin / Angela Martin-Lipton / Angela Schrute, Oscar Nunez as Oscar Martinez, Phyllis Smith, Catherine Tate (The Catherine Tate Show, Doctor Who) as Nellie Bertram, Mindy Kaling as Kelly Kapoor, Paul Lieberstein as Toby Flenderson, Creed Bratton as Creed Bratton, Craig Robinson (Ghosted) as Darryl Philbin, Ellie Kemper as Erin Hannon, Zach Woods as Gabe Lewis, Amy Ryan as Holly Flax, Clark Duke as Clark, and Jake Lacy as Pete Miller.
