Karen Kirkland, the Vice President of the world-renowned Nickelodeon Writing Program, will be a special guest speaker at the Writers Guild Foundation's first Write-A-Thon of 2018, "Raiders of the Lost Arc"!
Taking place on Saturday 20th January 2018 at the Writers Guild Foundation Library (7000 W 3rd Street, Los Angeles, CA 90036), the Writers Guild Foundation will help kick start a productive new year by hosting their first Write-A-Thon of the year.
The Writers Guild Foundation's first Write-A-Thon of 2018, "Raiders of the Lost Arc", is an evening when the organization keeps the Library open after-hours. Whether you’re a night owl, a member of a writing group that meets on evenings, or just feel motivated when surrounded by other writers, the Writers Guild Foundation welcomes anyone who wants to come work and write.
Karen Kirkland, Nickelodeon’s Vice President, Talent Development and Outreach, who has spent over 12 years developing and staffing writing talent onto Nickelodeon network productions as well as expanded the Nickelodeon Writing Program, will give an overview of writing for Nickelodeon, the Nickelodeon Writing Program application process, and answer your questions from 6pm to 6:30pm.
This is your chance to have your questions answered by Karen, aka the ultimate writing guru!
Expect the usual snacks, pizza, and more importantly, uninterrupted writing time with your fellow scribes and all the scripts you can access in our Library. Plus, we’ll also have a raffle with cool prizes.
Tickets to attend Writers Guild Foundation's "Raiders of the Lost Arc" Write-A-Thon have sold out, but you still have a chance to participate! The WGA will have a first come, first serve stand-by line at the event. (The stand-by line does not guarantee entry into the event.)
