Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has promoted Layla Lewis to Senior Vice President (SVP) of global acquisitions and partnerships for Nickelodeon.
In her new role, Lewis will work under Elizabeth Murray, the Executive Vice President (EVP) of programming and content strategy for Nickelodeon Group in the U.S., and Jules Borkent, the Executive Vice President of content and network management for Nickelodeon International.
Based in New York, she and her team will oversee the acquisitions for Nickelodeon’s 100-plus locally programmed channels, both domestically and internationally. She will also cultivate partnerships with content distributors and creators from around the world.
Lewis was most recently Vice President (VP) of global content acquisitions at Nickelodeon, a role she held since rejoining the kids network in 2013. Earlier in her career, she held content acquisition positions at both Turner Broadcasting in Hong Kong and Nickelodeon UK.
Lewis rejoined VIMN from Turner Broadcasting in Hong Kong in 2013. Prior to joining Turner in 2010, Lewis spent more than 10 years acquiring and overseeing editorial content at Nickelodeon in the UK.
