IDW Games and Nickelodeon Announce “Nickelodeon Splat Attack!”

An all-out food fight featuring your favorite Nick ’90s characters

San Diego, Ca (July 18, 2017) IDW Games announced today a partnership with Nickelodeon to bring Nick ’90s properties to market as tabletop games. Focusing on the hobby and specialty channels, IDW Games plans on releasing a variety of games featuring characters from Rugrats, Invader Zim, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Wild Thornberrys, Hey Arnold!, CatDog, The Angry Beavers, Rocket Power, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, The Ren & Stimpy Show, and Rocko’s Modern Life.

Here are the classic #Nicktoons that will appear in @IDWgames and @Nickelodeon's Splat Attack! #SDCC2017

The first planned product is titled Nickelodeon Splat Attack! Positioned as an all-out food brawl between the most beloved Nick ’90s characters, Nickelodeon Splat Attack! will have players controlling teams, divided along brands, as they fling food at each other in an effort to hold key positions in the properly-themed food court to become ‘king of the court!’

“There are very few properties that manage to induce nostalgia while also still being incredibly relevant,” says Jerry Bennington, Vice President of New Product Development at IDW Publishing. “Nickelodeon has managed to curate and maintain a menagerie of properties that does just that; allow for the nostalgia of shows like Rugrats and Hey Arnold! while still being endlessly entertaining today. The enthusiasm that fans have for these shows has directly influenced the efforts we’ve put into bringing the best games possible for them to the market.”

Designed by Michael Gray (Fortress America, Dungeon!) and Daryl Andrews (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Showdown, Outpost: Siberia), Nickelodeon Splat Attack! is a board game featuring highly-detailed, plastic miniatures.

Nickelodeon Splat Attack! is currently planned to be released in Spring 2018. Attendees of San Diego Comic Con can be the first to learn more about the game at the IDW Games panel:
