When Caleb Sloan wrote and illustrated his story about recycling monsters, he never dreamed it would become an Earth Day PSA airing on Nicktoons, one of his favorite television networks.
Combining hand-drawn monsters and a playful, yet powerful message, the 7-year-old Miami, Florida boy had originally created the concept as part of a project-based learning class on recycling at his school. That's when his parents' creative agency, 2C Creative, recognized the young artist's budding strengths and helped him turn his vision into an animated PSA video using Sloan's voice as the narrator!
Since then, Sloan’s “Monster Recycling” video caught the attention of Nickelodeon, the number one network for kids, who will be giving it a special Earth Day airing on Nicktoons this Saturday within the networks' 8-10 a.m. ET/PT programming block.
