Nickelodeon Latin America (Latinoamérica) will start to premiere and show Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa, a brand-new live-action teen series inspired by the 1880 novel Heidi by Johanna Spyri that tells the story of a young girl full of charm who leaves her mountain home for the city, from Monday 13th March 2017 at 19:00 on Nickelodeon Mexico (Méx.) and Nickelodeon Colombia (Col.) and at 20:00 on Nickelodeon Venezuela (Ven.) and Nickelodeon Argentina (Arg.)!
Leading up to the premiere, MundoNick.com and the Nick Play app will offer a exclusive preview of the all-new series on Friday 10th March 2017.
Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa follows Heidi, a charming girl who lives on the mountain with her grandfather, her best friend and her animals. One day, Heidi's Aunt Dete arrives to take her to the city. In her new home, Heidi will have many new friends, learn many new things she never learnt in the mountains, and must try to return the smile to Clara, a sad girl who lost her smile when her mother left the mansion.
The series invites viewers to experience the fantasy world of Heidi in a modern day setting. The series is full of humor, songs and passion and takes place in a colorful aesthetic and cinematic setting that creates a magical universe.
Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa will star young Argentine actress Chiara Francia (Patito feo, Consentidos, Chica vampiro), the daughter of the shows producer Javier Francia, Mercedes Lambre (Violetta), Florencia Benítez (Violetta, Sueña conmigo), Victorio D’Alessandro (Casi ángeles), and Minerva Casero (Esperanza mía), as well as many more outstanding actors and actresses.

The 60×45-minute show, produced entirely in Argentina, is created by Argentinian author Marcela Citterio, writer of Nickelodeon Latinoamérica's hit series Chica Vampiro and Yo soy Franky, in addition to the acclaimed Patito feo. The series is a co-production between Mondo TV subsidiary Mondo TV Iberoamerica and Javier Francia of Alianzas Producciones.
Heidi, Bienvenida a Casa has been renewed for two additional seasons, head of the series premiere in March. Season two will begin production in April 2017 and will air towards the end of the year, and season three will begin shooting in July 2017.
Additionally, Mondo TV has announced that the Madrid, Spain-based distributor has licensed the series in three markers in Latinoamérica: Red Uno in Bolivia, Teletica in Costa Rica and Megavisión in El Salvador.
To celebrate the launch of Heidi Bienvenida a Casa on Nickelodeon, the channel will host a special event on Thursday 2nd March 2017 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Buenos Aires with the cast and production crew of the new series.
Mondo TV Iberoamérica has also finalized the negotiations with licensing and merchandising (L & M) agents in Latinoamérica for the development of a licensing program for the series.
Mondo TV Iberoamérica has focused on the original production of live action series, and this year will also develop Candela, written by Argentine writer Patricia Maldonado.
Mondo TV Iberoamérica also announced in 2016 the opening of Mondo TV Producciones Canarias in Tenerife, where it seeks to produce animated content with important tax benefits.
