Nickelodeon Australia has announced the exciting news that Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will premiere the hit SpongeBob SquarePants movie, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, on Friday 27th January 2017 at 6.30pm!
In the brand-new SpongeBob movie, on a mission to save his world, SpongeBob SquarePants is headed to ours! When pirate Burger Beard (Antonio Banderas) steals the secret recipe for the beloved Krabby Patties, SpongeBob and friends come ashore to bring back the missing formula. To succeed, they must team up with former rival, Plankton, but soon realize that to defeat a super-villain, they must unleash their inner superheroes!
Leading up to the debut of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, Nickelodeon Australia and New Zealand will be premiering more brand-new episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, starting Monday 16th January 2017 at 5.30pm, beginning with the all-new episode "Sanctuary", in which, when stray snails begin to appear around Bikini Bottom, SpongeBob decides to care for them! The all-new episodes will lead up to a special encore of SpongeBob SquarePants' first big-screen adventure, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, on Friday 20th January 2017 at 6.30pm!
