Last week, Mondo announced a gallery show themed around the new and classic shows from Nickelodeon, premiering posters for The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern Life, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Following unveiling two new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles posters designed by Ciro Nieli yesterday, Mondo has today unveiled Rosemary Valero-O’Connell‘s Turtley Awesome TMNT poster, along with its variant!
The playful setup of this poster sees the title teen turtles chowing down on their favorite food while lounging atop the pizza shop’s roof. The design of the standard daytime poster pays homage to Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman‘s original comic book design and color scheme, while the nighttime variant finds the Heroes in a Half Shell donning their multi-colored costumes that have become synonymous with their names and personalities. Here are the necessary details for attending Mondo's Nickelodeon gallery, titled "A Nick-Nick-Nick-Nick-N-Nick-Nick-Nick... Nickelodeon Show!":
Mondo Gallery today announced a new one-week poster show highlighting iconic Nickelodeon properties that will include gorgeous prints for The Ren & Stimpy Show, SpongeBob SquarePants, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Rocko’s Modern Life, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters and Avatar. Featured artists will include Florian Bertmer, Dave Perillo, Francesco Francavilla, Rosemary Valero-O’Connell, Sachin Teng, Ciro Nieli, Sara Kipin and Janice Chu. The opening reception, free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, December 9, from 7:00 – 10:00pm at the Mondo Gallery in Austin, TX (4115 Guadalupe St). The show will run through Saturday, December 17.
Mondo will hold a special Family Day on Saturday, December 10, from 10am – NOON, featuring a Slime Building Workshop with Mad Science of Austin, face painting, photo booth, coffee and donuts, and more!
As is always the case with Mondo shows, whatever doesn’t sell out onsite will be available online.
