All residents and families are encouraged to attend the free City of Deer Park Worldwide Day of Play event, which will be held at the Community Center and in Dow Park from 12:00pm to 3:00pm.
The event is being co-sponsored by the Deer Park Police Department and the Parks and Recreation Department.
According to Brandi Arevalo, Recreation Specialist, the event will include hot dogs and water for the first 100 participants, popsicles and popcorn, inflatable toys, water games and pool games.
"This special event is being held as part of the national Worldwide Day of Play celebration, in which Nickelodeon will go off the air to encourage children and parents to get outside and play," she said. "We hope to see our local families come take the opportunity to enjoy the afternoon outside, meet Roscoe the Rec Dog and McGruff, and take part in fun, free activities!"

All events will take place in Room 6 of the Deer Park Community Center & in Dow Park
