Nickelodeon To Share Something Very Big "Legend of Korra"-Related Very Soon; TLoK Creators Respond To "Book Three" Leak

Nickelodeon has today, Wednesday 11th June 2014, announced in a post on Korra Nation, the networks official "The Legend of Korra" Tumblr blog, the exciting "Legend of Korra" news that, following Nickelodeon Latin America accidentally leaking four episodes (episodes three, four, five and six) from Book 3 of the series, called "Change", over the past weekend (Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th June 2014), Nickelodeon will be sharing something very big related to "Legend of Korra" very soon!

Additionally, following "The Legend of Korra" season 3 getting off to a bumpy and decidedly unofficial start last weekend, the shows co-creators, Bryan Konietzko and Mike DiMartino, have shared their thoughts on the unexpected snafu.

"It is bad enough that it happened at all," Konietzko wrote on his official Tumblr, "But it would have been a little less of a disaster had it at least been the first four episodes of the season." The release of later episodes led to "confusion and, at least on our end of things, frustration."

Konietzko emphasized that part of that frustration is due to the scrambling of "The Legend of Korra"'s linear storylines. "These episodes take a ton of concerted effort from scores of individuals," he continued. "We craft these continuous storylines and the animation as best we can, and hope that they are presented in a way that allows everyone to enjoy them to the fullest. But when leaks happen, the work we meticulously prepared for the audience is fumbled unceremoniously."

Nickelodeon's "Legend of Korra" production team finished production work on season three last week. Upon being finished, episodes are sent to various Nickelodeon channels and affiliates around the world for translation and dubbing.

"It's been a frustrating couple of days for sure," co-creator Mike DiMartino added. DiMartino also asked fans to refrain from sharing spoilers from the released episodes. "Watching the story in sequence, as it is intended will be much more satisfying, I assure you."

In his blog post, Konietzko also mentions that Nickelodeon has some plans in the works for "The Legend of Korra" season 3, and needs to wait on its release. He concluded that "hopefully, it won't be too much longer before Book 3 is released properly and with respect to all the people who worked hard to make it and to the audience who wants to watch it."

Nickelodeon is expected to announce when Nick USA will start premiere and show "The Legend of Korra" - "Book Three: Change" at San Diego Comic-Con International 2014 (SDCC '14).

Nickelodeon UK & Ireland and Nickelodeon HD UK is speculated to start to premiere and show TLoK "Book Two: Spirits" in July 2014.
