The international media industry news website World Screen is reporting the television news that The Jim Henson Company has announced a number of new licensing agreements in Europe for the popular CGI-animated preschool series "Dinosaur Train". Nickelodeon and Viacom Consumer Products (NVCP) has brokered deals with several companies in the U.K., Ireland and Channel Islands.
Kidztation will release a line of wooden toys, while Koninklijke Jumbo is developing puzzles, giant playing cards and floor games. Redan Publishing has agreed to create magazines, and Rail Events is organizing a range of Dinosaur Train-themed rail events.
Meanwhile, in Spain, Selecta Vision has lined up Panini Espana for publishing, Unice Toys for toys and games, Play By Play Toys and Novelties Europe for plush toys, Naipes Heraclio Fournier for playing cards, Saica Toys for outdoor toys and games, Musicales Reig for musical toys and United Labels Iberica for foam floor puzzles. In addition, Italian licensing agent Dall' Angelo Pictures signed Nestlé Italiana for the production of an assortment of Easter eggs and chocolates, which hit store shelves earlier this year.
