A mud-loving cartoon pig and a gun-toting former slave [Django] have lifted Entertainment One’s revenue by 15 per cent in the first ten months of its financial year.
Peppa Pig has proved a powerhouse for the London-listed Canadian entertainment company. Sales of Peppa Pig toys surged 25 per cent above its forecasts over the Christmas period, while ratings have risen 50 per cent after Nick Jr, the channel owned by Nickelodeon Kids, moved the British cartoon to the prime slot of 6pm every day. Revenue at its TV unit surged 30 per cent.

The 'Media' news column of the British daily national newspaper The Times is reporting the Nickelodeon UK News that, since Nick UK and Eire's preschool channel, Nick Jr. Channel UK and Ireland, moved Nick Junior's popular animated British preschool series "Peppa Pig" to the prime timeslot of 6.00pm every day, the show's ratings have risen 50 per cent for Nick Jr. UK!
