Asian Television Networks Pick Up The Broadcast Rights To A Selection Of Nickelodeon Shows And Television Movies

Asian nets bag Viacom fare
Broadcasters across Asia have acquired kids' and youth programming from Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN).
In Malaysia, commercial channel TV3 has bought season one of live-action comedy The Troop, plus seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants and Planet Sheen.
Local distributor Juita Viden has also acquired season one of Nickelodeon series Victorious, plus a pair of telemovies, The Boy Who Cried Werewolf and Best Player, on behalf of the same channel.
NTV7, meanwhile, has taken bi-lingual preschooler Ni Hao Kai Lan (season two) and Malaysian pubcaster RTM has gone for season one of Big Time Rush.
Sinapore’s Okto TV, part of MediaCorp, has renewed SpongeBob and has acquired comedy Penguins of Madagascar. Vietnamese distributor International Media JS Company bought two seasons of Penguins, Kung Fu Panda and seasons six and seven of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series for SCTV6-SNTV and VTC7-Today TV.
In Thailand, Pod Worldwide has picked up photo puppetry toon Wonder Pets for pubcaster PBS, while Medialink Entertainment took Kung Fu Panda and Penguins for Channel 7.

New deals and renewals for VIMN series in South East Asia
Viacom International Media Network has secured a raft of new TV deals with broadcasters in South East Asia for hit Nickelodeon kids series including SpongeBob SquarePants and Big Time Rush.
In Malaysia, NTV7 has scooped up season two of bilingual preschool animated series Ni Hao Kai Lan, TV3 has acquired season one of live-action comedy adventure series The Troop, season six of SpongeBob SquarePants and season one of The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron spin-off Planet Sheen, while Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has snapped up season one of teen musical Big Time Rush.
Additional Malaysian deals include Juita Viden Sdn Bhd (season six and seven of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Victorious season one, and Nickelodeon movies The Boy Who Cried Werewolf and Best Playeron behalf of TV3.
In Singapore, MediaCorp okto signed a season six renewal of SpongeBob SquarePants, and new deals for SpongeBob SquarePants season seven and Penguins of Madagascar season one.
Penguins of Madagascar season one and two were picked up by Vietnam’s International Media JS Company along with Kung Fu Panda season one, and season six and seven of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series on behalf of SCTV6-SNTV and VTC7-Today TV.
Meanwhile, Thailand deals include season one and three of puppetry animated series Wonder Pets for POD Worldwide’s Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and Medialink Entertainment for Kung Fu Panda season one and Penguins of Madagascar season two and three for Channel 7.
