Imira Entertainment's Animated Series "Lucky Fred" Enlists Alien-Hunters

From C21Media:
Imira’s Fred enlists alien-hunters

Imira Entertainment will turn viewers into alien-hunters as part of the Spanish producer-distributor’s multi-platform push.

A new web- and mobile-based app features ‘geo-localising’ technology to allow users to find and eliminate aliens in their own city.

The interactive game accompanies the second season of Lucky Fred (26x11’), the 2D toon for six- to 12-year-olds that Imira has coproduced with TVC in Spain, Rai Fiction in Italy and the Philippines’ Top Draw Animation.

Lucky Fred centres on RED, a ‘reality enhancement drone’ who falls from outer space and crashes through 13-year-old Fred’s bedroom ceiling. The toon has been sold to networks in more than 150 territories, including France’s TF1 and multiple Nickelodeon [Nickelodeon Benelux (comprising of Nickelodeon Belgium, Nickelodeon Netherlands (Nickelodeon Nederland), and Luxembourg), Scandinavia (comprising on Nickelodeon Denmark, Nickelodeon Norway and Nickelodeon Finland), Nickelodeon Latin America, Nickelodeon Asia and Nickelodeon South Korea] and Disney channels.

In other news, Imira will be looking for copro finance at MipTV for Drip & Drop (78x7′), an all-Spanish series in development with Enne Entertainment Studios, and Bat Pat (52x11′), a Spanish-Italian-Malaysian coproduction, with Atlantyca Entertainment and Inspidea.
