Viacom clocks up Lat Am sales
Broadcasters across Latin America have acquired more Nickelodeon and MTV programming from Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN).
Among the deals: Costa Rica’s Teletica and Venezuela’s Venevision have picked up Nick content packages including boys-skewed CGI toon Planet Sheen and new episodes of Penguins of Madagascar, plus more SpongeBob SquarePants episodes.
Elsewhere: Brazil’s TV Globo, Band TV and TV Cultura; Honduran net Canal 11; TV Jamaica; Chile’s TVN; Ecuador’s Ecuavisa; Uruguay’s Canal 10; and Mexico’s Canal Once and Televisa have also taken new VIMN children’s programming.
Nicaragua's Telenica has signed the first seasons of Planet Sheen, Bubble Guppies and Tuffy Puppy, along with MTV content including reality series 16 & Pregnant, The Hills (seasons 1-6 and specials) and Jersey Shore (season one and specials).
Finally, Honduran net Campus TV has signed has signed the 2011 MTV EMA and 2012 MTV Video Music Awards broadcasts and El Salvador’s Canal 12 has acquired the latter and the 2012 MTV Movie Awards.
