Marketing is pivotal in shaping Nickelodeon Networks success, developing and driving strategy and implementation to achieve brand, ratings and commercial objectives.
Nickelodeon Department
The Marketing Director leads the marketing team as the ultimate champion of our brand and audience, a kid-expert who is committed to consistently understanding our audiences; their relationships, aspirations concerns, interests and media habits.
This role is strategically critical and a facilitator of all channel relationships, an essential conduit connecting all internal departments and key external stakeholders such as affiliates and commercial partners.
This is an exciting and challenging role full of opportunity that requires leadership, collaboration, creativity, self-motivation, project management and attention-to-detail.
Key Responsibilities
Drive strategy and property planning across all brands
Work with Research to develop insights and market trends
Manage the marketing team’s workload and career development
Manage key third party relationships
Develop and manage annual budgets
Present quarterly updates to affiliates and Sky Media
Act as a strategic advisor to the VP, Director of Marketing
Work closely with Communications Director to develop integrated communications
Develop and continue strong relationships with International counterparts and stakeholders
Role-Specific Skills/Attributes
Marketing Plans and Budgets
Develop annual plans and budgets in response to;
Channel measures: audience, brand & ratings
Key Property building
Third party and Recreation opportunities
Industry and consumer knowledge and insights
Advertising and Stakeholder Management
Develop campaign requirements and oversee execution and post analysis
Ensure all campaigns are cross-department
Oversee agency relationships and performance
Manage stakeholders and communicate activity and results in a timely manner
Partnerships
Lead Viacom third party relationships such as Sony, PHE, Paramount and Blackpool Pleasure Beach
Develop and manage partner relationships eg Sky, Virgin, Channel Five
Taskforce lead
Create, manage and lead taskforce teams in the development and delivery of campaigns and projects
Provide project reports detailing activity and deliverables
Lead campaign reviews and share learning's across Taskforce and marketing team
Management
Manage marketing team
Coach and mentor team with development areas and career goals
Manage training requirements for team
Affiliate relationships
Maintain strong relationships with all affiliate partners
Present quarterly plans and results
Policies and procedures
Adhere to and follow all Nickelodeon finance and legal processes
Maintain clear and accurate budget and spent tracking
Maintain clear and up-to-date campaign and project records
