Dave Berry has been confirmed as the new breakfast presenter of London radio station Capital 95.8 following the sudden departure of Johnny Vaughan.
Berry, who presents Capital's weekend breakfast show and is engaged to Sugababes singer Heidi Range, will join Vaughan's co-host Lisa Snowdon in early January.
Berry has presented shows on Channel 4 youth strand T4 and spent three years on Capital's sister station, Xfm.
He began his career on children's channel Nickelodeon and presented the TRL request show on MTV.
Various big names had been linked to the breakfast show, including Radio 1's Chris Moyles and Scott Mills, following Vaughan's unexpected exit on 18 November after nearly eight years in the job.
But it was thought likely that the station, which said it was looking for a younger host than 45-year-old Vaughan, would look in-house for his replacement.
Moyles had previously been linked with a move to Global but recently signed a new contract with Radio 1 until 2014.
Vaughan will be a tough act to follow, as the No 1 commercial radio breakfast show in London. Berry is likely to be substantially cheaper than Vaughan, who picked up an annual salary of about £800,000.
